We look forward to seeing you and helping with your pets!
For the safety of your pet, dogs are required to be on a leash and cats secured in a carrier when bringing your pet out to our fully equipped van.
We are currently unable to accept aggressive animals at this time and recommend a fully staffed brick-and-mortar practice for these patients.
Payment is required at the time of service.
Appointments
We are a ‘by appointment only’ practice. Appointments are scheduled during regular business hours (M-F 9-5) as available.
Emergent appointments are not readily offered due to the nature of house call practice. Requests for urgent or same day appointments are considered on a case by case basis with additional fees at doctors discretion.
Emergencies are referred to AVS or VCA CARE Hospital
We reserve the right to refuse service.
New clients, please see new client form.
Cancellations
Cancellations or no show to appointments are subject to a $90 fee if made with less than 24hr notice.
Cancellations of a surgery with less than 24 hr notice are subject to a $140 fee.
Pharmacy
By law, the patient must have had an exam by Dr McKenna within the last 12 months in order to be considered a current patient.
Most ongoing medications (given on a daily or weekly basis), require a monitoring blood panel annually per clinic policy as well.
Per clinic policy all prescriptions not filled through our pharmacy require a written prescription and it is then the owner’s responsibility to send that script in themselves. We will not approve prescriptions through outside pharmacies via phone or email due to liability reasons. Coastal Mobile Veterinary will not be held liable for the mistakes in handling, transcribing, or authenticity of product of outside pharmacies.
If you choose to have a written prescription, please allow 2 to 4 business days for a written prescription to be mailed to you.
We do have a relationship with VetSource Pharmacy; link can be found on this site.
Thank you for supporting our small business.
