However, if we are not available or if it would be safer for your pet to go immediately to one of the two emergency practices in Santa Barbara, please call one of the following 24 hour veterinary services clinics:

These are a few examples of emergencies that require immediate attention:
- Hit by car
- difficulty breathing
- collapse
- seizures
- pale gums
- bleeding profusely
- suspected poisoning
- severe vomiting or bloody diarrhea
- snake bite
- hives that cause swelling of the eyes and face
- severe painful lameness
- inability to walk
